Family Sharing

Keep loved ones informed about your healthcare journey—on your terms, with complete control.

Why share with family?

Healthcare is often a family affair. Whether you're caring for an aging parent, supporting a spouse through treatment, or coordinating care for a child, staying informed helps everyone provide better support.

VisitRecall makes it easy to share visit summaries, next steps, and health questions with the people who matter most—without sharing more than you're comfortable with.

Three ways to share

When you add a family member, you choose the relationship type:

Common questions

Can family members see my recordings automatically?
No. Nothing is shared automatically. When you record a visit, it stays completely private until you explicitly choose to share specific elements (like the summary or next steps) with specific family members.
What if I change my mind about sharing?
You can revoke access at any time. Go to your Family Members settings and remove the person, or adjust sharing on individual visits. Changes take effect immediately.
Can my family member share my information with others?
No. Family members can only view the information you've shared with them within the VisitRecall app. They cannot forward, export, or share your information with anyone else through the app.
Is my health information secure?
Yes. All data is encrypted in transit and at rest. We use industry-standard security practices to protect your information. See our Privacy Policy for full details.
Do both people need to consent?
Yes. When you invite someone, you consent to the sharing arrangement. When they accept, they also consent. Both parties must agree before any connection is established.
What happens if someone declines my invitation?
If someone declines your invitation, no connection is established and no information is shared. You can send a new invitation later if circumstances change.
